LUNCHES & MORE

1.     If you need to bring a lunch to school after school has started, please place them on the table in the hallway outside of the office. Yard Duty will take any lunches to the lunch table before each lunch period. Make sure your child’s name is on it. Please tell your child to always check the hall table or the lunch tables w/yard duty for their lunch as we cannot disturb the classroom for dropped off lunches.

2.     If your child does not have a lunch, or any money, they can borrow from a fund called the “Feed it Forward/Principal’s Account” available in the cafeteria. The office will no longer be lending lunch money to students. Students will be required to pay the CAFETERIA back. Students may borrow money up to 3 times, and after that, they will be given the tuna cup. crackers, etc. The cafeteria will send a slip home w/student advising of the borrowed money on the date(s) it is borrowed.  Once a parent has made a deposit to their child’s lunch account, any owed money will be deducted from the deposit. Any borrowed money not paid back, (known as in-debts) will follow the student to their next school and could impact future school purchases/activities. On the flip side, unused money in a lunch account will be available at their  future Burbank schools.

3.     Lost lunch boxes and water bottles will now be placed in a plastic bin by the main Lost & Found. Lunch boxes will be marked w/a date when they are placed in the bin and will be tossed every Friday if they are more than one week old. If you are missing any of these items, please check the bin.
