The Roosevelt Elementary PTA will be selecting its recipients for the 66th Annual Honorary Service Awards Banquet in April 2018.
The purpose of the HSA is to give special recognition to selected individuals, parents, teachers, or school employees who have volunteered outstanding service to children and youth for a long period of time. “Volunteered” is defined as a non-paid service beyond the individual’s normal paid activities. This could be anyone constantly involved with youth and children.
Is there someone who has volunteered outstanding service to Roosevelt for a long time? If the answer is yes, nominate them for PTA’s Honorary Service Award Program. Click HERE to download and print form!
It will be held on Wednesday, February 7th (during the school day). Collection envelopes will be coming home in next week’s Wednesday folders.
Prior to the event, the kids get sponsors who agree to pay either a flat rate or an amount per lap. On the day of the FUN RUN, children will run laps at Teddy Bear Park for about 30 minutes with their class while enjoying music. Water and oranges will be provided. The students will be sent home with a certificate that says how many laps they ran.
Begin by collecting pledges now! Ask grandparents, friends, and co workers to donate. (Pledges aren't due until after The FUN RUN by February 18th)
We need many volunteers to make The FUN RUN a success! We need help filling out certificates, setting up, handing out water and oranges, and tallying runs. Come on out for a fun-filled day at Teddy Bear Park and cheer on the children and teachers!
The class schedule and volunteer opportunities will be posted on volunteer spot soon!
