Wear Pink Tomorrow for our Peacebuilder Assembly!
Pink shirt day started in Nova Scotia, Canada in 2007. A 9th grade boy wore a pink shirt the first day of school. He was teased for wearing a pink shirt. Feeling bad for this young boy, two senior students ordered 50 pink shirts and notified their friends of the unkind teasing and organized them to wear pink shirts to school on the same day. The message the boys wanted to get across was that taunting and relentless teasing was not an acceptable practice. They made a difference in that 9th grader’s life!
The Pink Shirt Day movement has since grown worldwide and we hope that all the Roosevelt kids can wear a pink shirt tomorrow for our Peacebuilders assembly!
