October 24-28: Red Ribbon Week
On Thursday, October 20th, Roosevelt will be participating in the statewide earthquake drill. We will practice evacuating to Teddy Bear Park and our search and research procedures. The drill lasts about an hour, so the office will be closed from 10:20 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. You will not be able to drop off or check out your children at that time. Please plan accordingly.
Fall Festival is this Friday and we need volunteers! Each grade level is assigned a booth to staff, but if your grade level is full and you would like help somewhere else, please feel free to sign up wherever you would like.

This year you'll be California Dreamin' your way to the best Fall Festival yet! This Friday the 21st from 5:00 - 8:30 p.m. bring the whole family and enjoy great food and sweets, a giant inflatable maze, cool crafts, airbrush tattoos, amazing raffle baskets and more! Bring your chairs and blankets and don't forget your cash, it's a CASH-ONLY event!
Want to beat the lines for raffle basket tickets? Come to the presales on Wednesday, October 19th and Thursday, October 20th at 3 p.m. at both the front and back of school.
We will be honoring Red Ribbon Week by dressing a special way each day of the week. See below for details.
Monday, Oct. 24th- Wear Red to kick-off Red Ribbon Week.
Tuesday, Oct. 25th- Love your self inside and out - wear clothes inside-out.
Wednesday, Oct. 26th- “Lei off of those sweets!” Wear Hawaiian attire to school. Try to go a day without having any sweets or sugary foods.
Thursday, Oct. 27th- Teddy Roosevelt "mustache” you to take good care of your body! Wear a mustache for his birthday and a school shirt.
Friday, Oct. 28th- Fitness Friday, “Band together to get fit” - wear workout clothes and headbands.
In support if the spirit of the UME Credit Union philosophy of "people helping people" - we're asking our Roosevelt community to join our generous business partner collect donations for the 6th Annual Thank-A-Soldier Care Box Assembly project. Acceptable donation items are listed below. Thank you!
